A suspect wanted in a hit and run in Carbondale is arrested

The suspect vehicle connected to a hit and run incident in Carbondale on September 26.

The suspect has been arrested in a hit and run traffic crash involving a pedestrian in Carbondale.

On September 26th, Carbondale police officers responded to the 400 block of East Walnut Street.

Police previously identified the suspect as 37-year-old Dewone Miller of Marion.

On Monday, officers responded to the 700 block of South Lewis Lane in reference to a report that Miller was in that area. Officers located Miller who fled on foot, but was apprehended by officers after a brief foot chase. Miller was arrested for the warrant and incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.

The Carbondale Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating the vehicle, a grey 2010 Nissan Rogue, pictured above.
