A man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison after a Saline County jury convicted him of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child and Aggravated Battery of a Child.

The Saline County State's Attorney reports the evidence showed in January 2018, Tylar Lewis bit, burned, and sexually assaulted an 8-month child.

He left multiple bruises, cigarette burns, and bite marks all over the child’s body. The jury also heard evidence that Lewis caused tearing and bleeding injuries to the child’s mouth and genitals.

Lewis must also register as a sexual predator for life.
