A western Kentucky man is in the Massac County Detention Center accused of striking a woman in the face with a bag of frozen burritos.

Metropolis Officers were called to the Quality Inn on February 5 in reference to a domestic disturbance.

The caller told them a man was preventing a woman from leaving.

The investigation revealed the female victim and 41-year-old George Lichtenberg of Benton, Kentucky had been arguing and he struck her in the face with a bag containing frozen burritos, causing injuries to her face.

The woman confirmed the man held his hand over her mouth and was dragging her to the elevator when she was able to break free.

Lichtenberg was arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery and Unlawful Restraint.
