Carbondale building struck by gunfire, no injuries reported

No injuries have been reported after shots were fired late this morning in Carbondale.

Police officers responded to the area of West Main and North Springer Streets around 11:30 a.m.

They located a building in the area that had been struck by gunfire. Officers learned a black male exited a dark vehicle and fired several shots at another vehicle traveling west on West Main.

The Carbondale Police Department encourages anyone with information about this incident to call officers at (618) 549-2121 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (618) 549-COPS.
