A Jackson County jury has found a DeSoto man guilty of Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated battery and Resisting a Peace Officer.

The State's Attorney's office reports 36-year-old Blake Jennings was arrested in May by the Carbondale Police Department after officers were dispatched to 1200 E. Grand, regarding a white male, wearing a black hoodie, banging on people’s doors and acting disorderly.

Officers learned from the reporting parties that Jennings had hit another man. Once officers identified and located Jennings, a convicted felon, he was approached by officers and ordered to stop, but he resisted arrest. He was also found in possession of knives.
