A person is in custody following a road rage incident in Mt. Vernon.

Late Thursday afternoon, Mt. Vernon Police officers responded to a report of a subject riding a motorcycle pointing a firearm at another person while driving on Broadway.

The motorcycle had been involved with a different vehicle in a road rage incident prior to this. Officers located the motorcycle and conducted a traffic stop on it at S 10th St and Main St.

During the investigation, a firearm was recovered, and it was determined the rider, 57-year-old Bradley Kelly from Mt. Vernon had committed the offense of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault with a firearm during the incident.

Kelly was arrested and detained at the Jefferson County Jail.
