A Mt. Vernon man is arrested in a shooting incident

A Mt. Vernon man is accused of firing shots into a house and vehicle on Tuesday evening.

Officers learned the shooting took place at South 18th Street and Lamar Avenue. A house and a vehicle were struck from the shooting. There were no reported injuries.

Mt. Vernon Police investigators and patrol investigated and followed up on leads. The investigation led to an arrest on Wednesday of 26-year-old Devin Bruns for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. He was incarcerated at the Jefferson County Jail.
