A 38-year-old man died after being run over by a truck in the 11-thousand block of Saraville Road in Williamson County late Saturday night.

When deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered the victim was laying on the ground in the driveway of the residence when a truck drove over the victim causing fatal injuries.

The victim was to be airlifted by helicopter to a regional trauma center. But, while in route, the aircraft was diverted to Harrisburg Medical Center because of the patient's deteriorating condition. The victim was pronounced dead early Sunday morning in Harrisburg.

With the assistance of the Illinois State Police Crime Scene, Trevor Stewart was arrested and cited for reckless homicide, aggravated DUI, obstructing justice and reckless conduct.
