Randolph County man's body found on his property after multiple days of searching

A rural Randolph County man's body was found near his home late Tuesday morning.

The Randolph County Sheriff's Department reports 65-year-old Curtis Scott Sheeler has been reported missing by a family member Sunday evening. The family member requested a wellness check.

The initial search did not turn up Sheeler's body. Another search on Monday was unsuccessful.

But, on Tuesday, first responders from several area agencies joined the search team. Sheeler's body was found on an adjacent piece of property.

The cause of death is still under investigation.
