June is Gun Violence Awareness Month and Carbondale United has hosted numerous events to raise awareness.
To round out the month of June, they are hosting a Peace Rally Thursday, June 30 from 5 to 7pm. Everyone is invited to join as they create awareness and rally in peace against gun violence. The rally will take place at The Eurma Hayes Center 440 E Willow Street. There will be guest speakers, poetry, singing, food, prizes and more. Organizers encourage attendees to wear orange to show support for the cause.
