Two downtown Marion businesses were damaged by a fire today (Monday).

The Marion Fire Department arrived on the scene just after 5 a.m. to find the building at 1200 Tower Square Plaza filled with smoke.

After forcing their way into the building, firefighters discovered the fire was in the basement of the attached building at 102 East Main.

The fire was extinguished.

The businesses involved were Little Nashville Café and James Arthur Design Company.

The Little Nashville Cafe reports on its Facebook page the business will be closed while they get the building operational again.
