4/4/24 UPDATE:
The City of Carbondale Police Department, as well as members from all other City departments, will be assisting family members of missing person Linell Gaston today, April 4, 2024, as they canvass various locations in the city. City staff and volunteers will gather at the Eurma Hayes building on East Willow Street at  10:30 a.m. and locations to canvass will be provided to volunteer groups. Community members willing to help are welcome. 

ORIGINAL STORY:
At the request of the Carbondale Police, the Illinois State Police is activating an endangered missing person advisory.

The Carbondale Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating 27-year-old Linell Gaston.

Gaston is described as a black male. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds.

Gaston has a bald head and is wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ripped jeans, and black Balenciaga shoes.

He was last seen at the 1200 block of South Wall Street at 10:30 pm on March 25th.

Gaston has a condition that places him in danger.
