U.S. Marshals Service has arrested more than 3400 Operation North Star FY 2024 or ONS FY24.
ONS FY24 targeted fugitives and violent offenders in 10 metropolitan areas from May to September. Areas were selected using data from the National Crime Information Center and the FBI Uniform Crime Report.
602 arrests in the East St. Louis area by ONS FY24 investigators. Local investigators were also able to seize a number of firearms, vehicles, illegal narcotics, and U.S. currency during these arrests.
Attorney General Merrick B. Garland says the Justice Department remains committed to making American communities safer from violent crime and working to end the plague of gun violence.
