In Ullin, Shawnee Community College is hosting nearly 30 camps and activities this summer, covering a variety of age groups and interests. Choose from art, science, technology, basketball, and babysitter certification. Camp registration is exclusively online and must be completed at least one week before the program begins. In Carbondale, the Juneteenth Freedom Parade is coming up on Saturday, June 17th. The parade will be from the Town Square Parking Lot to Attucks Park where there will then be a celebration with food, music, games, vendors and a DJ. For more information, call Ernestine Hughlett 618-203-2766

In Effingham, the Farmers Market provides fresh, locally-grown food, art and quality artisan goods.
