The Springfield Area Arts Council will host the Poetry Out Loud Central Illinois Regional Contest on Thursday, February 13, at 4:00 P.M. in Peggy Ryder Theatre at the Hoogland Center for the Arts. There is no admission cost, and all are welcome. In Poetry Out Loud, teenagers select, analyze, and commit to memory classic and contemporary poems for recitation. Specialized Equine Services (SES) is now accepting new riders who can benefit from our therapeutic riding programs. Riding classes designed to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical, emotional, cognitive, and social challenges. Classes will be held on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings in our spacious indoor arena at: Rose O'Sharon Equine Farm, 830 Rowan Road, Makanda, IL.
