ON THIS DAY in 1925 John T. Scopes found guilty of teaching evolution in the “Scopes monkey trial” in Dayton, Tennessee, fined $100 and costs.
SIU will host a Basketball Meet & Greet this Thursday at the Banterra Center from 5-6:30 p.m. The program features a meet and greet with head coaches Scott Nagy and Kelly Bond-White and their players. There will be a Half-court shot contest, prizes and discounts on season tickets. Doors open at 4:30.
