The City of Carbondale and SIU Carbondale are bringing back their annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration on Friday, July 4 at 9:15 p.m. The show will be held on SIU’s campus near the Banterra Center.
Spectators are encouraged to park in lots 18 and 56, with overflow in lot 89. Food vendors like Honeybeez Snowballz, Pelzer’s Tropical Sno, and the American Ice Cream Truck will be on site offering treats.
Douglas Drive and Saluki Drive will be closed starting at 6 p.m. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, July 5.
