This summer, SIU President Dan Mahony’s podcast Office Hours took up the issue of how artificial intelligence is being used in the SIU System.
One of the guests is Pinckney Benedict, a professor at SIU School of Medicine and a longtime creative writing faculty member at SIU-Carbondale, who brings a unique perspective of A-I in the humanities, medicine and emerging technology, especially in simulations for medical students.
That’s Pinckney Benedict, who took the lead on getting the AI conversation started in the SIU System.
Two other guests talk about A-I on the Carbondale and Edwardsville campuses, Frank Liu from Carbondale and Mario Hayek at Edwardsville.
