Vienna paid a special tribute to veterans at the high school today on the eve of Veterans Day.
In front of the Vienna High School veterans gathered for the annual “Flag Raising: A Salute to Veterans” program.
A large crowd from the community and students from the grade school and high school attended the ceremony.
The Senior class student council read the name and branch of veterans in attendance and those that couldn’t be there.
Senior student council president Cambell Douglas says he’s honored to be part of this all four years he was in high school.
“I am proud of our community and I'm honored to be a part of this. It's just a great way to honor our veterans and kind of give back and show grace for what they did.”
This is the 8th year Vienna has held this event.
