Carbondale United is hosting a Violence Interrupters Training next month to help residents learn how to mediate conflict and promote peace in local neighborhoods.
The session takes place Tuesday, September 16th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 309 East Jackson Street in Carbondale.
Facilitators will cover the role of violence interrupters, de-escalation and mediation techniques, community outreach, trauma-informed response, and self-care for frontline workers.
Participants will receive a certificate, a handbook, and lunch. Space is limited, and those interested are encouraged to RSVP by email or calling 618-967-9993.
