To say the SIU men's basketball teamfaces a challenging non-conference schedule might be an understatement.
The Salukis released the schedule Thursday and the season opener is a doozy.
The Dawgs will play at Kentucky, the pre-season number one team in the country in some publications. That game is set for November 9th at famed Rupp Arena.
SIU will play at least three non-conference games against teams that finished the previous season in the top-26 in the RPI, tying a school high. If the Salukis face Nevada in the Las Vegas Holiday Invitational, this will be the first SIU team to schedule four top-30 RPI non-conference games.
