A Carbondale City Council member is selected as a delegate to a conference to tackle national issues

A Carbondale City Council member has been selected as one of 13 Elected City and Council Official Delegates to attend a national local government conference.

Clare Killman will take part in “Local Government 2030: Action for the Future, a National Convening of Practitioners and Elected Officials.”

It will be held in January at the Phoenix Campus of Arizona State University.

Killman was selected from City and County official applicants nationwide to participate. The Elected Official Delegates will join 50 local government practitioners Delegates, all under the age of 40, from cities, counties and regional councils. The charge of the Delegates: to break silos and create groundwork for change.

Delegates in Phoenix will complete work focused on workforce, communications and justice impacted individuals.
