A portion of a street in Carbondale will be closed next week due to improvements projects by Canadian National Railway.

The City of Carbondale reports Grand Avenue -- between Illinois Avenue and Washington Street -- will be closed from Monday, June 3 through Friday, June 7.

Detours will be marked and drivers are encouraged to use the Mill Street underpass.
