Road Closures

The closure, delayed last week due to weather, is needed to reconstruct the westbound lanes.

The Illinois Department of Transportation says this closure is needed to reconstruct the westbound lanes and should wrap up by Saturday morning, June 7th.

Several downtown streets and parking lots will be closed at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

These closures are part of a comprehensive $6.3 million project aimed at improving the interchange. The project will convert the existing intersections into modern roundabouts to enhance traffic flow and safety.

Detours will be marked.

Both lanes of US-51 are closed just north of DeSoto.
