Jonesboro Man Accused of Soliciting a 14-Year-Old

An elderly Jonesboro man is accused of soliciting a child.
The Union County State’s Attorney's office says 78-year-old Harold Thomas Goetz has been charged with one count of Indecent Solicitation of a Child, one count of Traveling to Meet a Minor, one count of Solicitation to Meet a Minor and one count of Grooming. 

Goetz is charged with attempting to meet with a person he believed to be a child under the age of 14 years for the purpose of sexual gratification. 

A Preliminary Hearing is set for October 2.
