A Mt. Vernon woman becomes the 5th person arrested in connection to the killing of an Olney man over Labor Day weekend.
The Jefferson County State’s Attorney says 43-year-old Misty Whipple is charged with one count of Aiding a Fugitive for her role in the case of 19-year-old Kyle Johnson, who was found with multiple gun shot wounds and later died at a local hospital.

Whipple is accused of assisting murder suspect Rick Meador in fleeing from a warrant for his arrest by renting a van which was used to transport Meador from Illinois to Florida.

Meador; Tara Haws; Dale Boatman and a 16-year-old are all charged with First Degree Murder and other charges.
