A Pinckneyville man died after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Perry County.
Illinois State Police say 38-year-old Jeremy Lueker was heading north on Route 127, south of Primrose Road, just before 6 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Shelly Steinwagner of Highland.

All lanes were shut down for approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes during the traffic crash investigation; all lanes reopened at approximately 10:18 p.m.

No charges have been filed. An investigation is underway.
