Police identify the victim in Friday's deadly shooting in Carbondale

Carbondale Police officers and detectives continue to investigate a deadly shooting on Friday night.

Police Monday afternoon identified the victim as 41-year-old Rayshawn Simon from Carbondale.

Authorities have made two arrests in connection with the incident in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane.

37-year-old Dewayne Jones and 24-year-old Jeffrey Harris, both of Carbondale, are in the Jackson County Jail.

Jones is charged with Murder, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon.

Harris is charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon and Aggravated Battery.
