Carbondale Police search for a car wanted in a hit and run

The Carbondale Police Department is asking for help in locating a vehicle wanted in a hit and run involving a pedestrian.

Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of East Walnut Street. They found the victim with serious injuries.

Detectives were able to use intersection cameras and privately owned cameras to identify the suspect vehicle as a 2010 Nissan Rogue, Illinois license plate K60 0864.

The victim remains hospitalized with serious injuries. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
