A traffic stop in Williamson County earlier this month resulted in a foot pursuit by deputies to apprehend a fugitive.

In the early morning hours of June 1, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lane on Pickett Lane in Marion.

A traffic stop was soon initiated, but the suspect vehicle drove away at a high rate of speed before abruptly coming to a stop at the intersection of Vinewood Lane and Anderson Drive.

Then Deputies observed a man get out of the passenger's seat and take off running. Deputies apprehended the suspect identified as David Mosbacker.

He was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants in Williamson and Richland counties.

The driver, identified as Patricia Utley, exited her vehicle and began interfering with officers in Mosbacker's arrest.

Utley began resisting and fighting a Marion Police Officer during which time she injured herself. She was taken to an area medical center.

Both Utley and Mosbacker face numerous charges.
