No one was seriously hurt after a vehicle slammed into a house in Williamson County.
Deputies from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 19000 block of Corinth Road Thursday around 11 a.m.
Upon arrival, Deputies discovered that a vehicle had left the roadway, traveled approximately 500 yards through a cornfield, and struck the front porch of a residence.
The driver reported the crash occurred because of a mechanical issue that caused the accelerator to become stuck. The driver sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
Williamson County Fire responded to assist, shoring up the front porch to allow for the safe removal of the vehicle without structural collapse of the porch.
