Four construction workers were injured Thursday at Herrin Hospital.
Southern Illinois Healthcare spokeswomen Rosslind Rice says two of the workers were taken to at St. Louis hospital, one to an Evansville, Indiana hospital and the fourth was treated and released at Herrin Hospital.
None of the injuries are considered life threatening.
The four are union trade workers with Joseph F. Becker, Inc. out of Breese.
Rice says the accident occurred before 8 Thursday morning when the center scaffolding on a masonry wall collapsed.
Work on this portion of the surgical expansion project is halted so OSHA can investigate the cause of the collapse.
