A school bus and a minivan collided Monday afternoon in Jackson County.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department reports there were no children or passengers of any kind on the school bus.
Both drivers were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their names are being withheld right now as the investigation continues.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Route 127 near Hoffman Road in rural Murphysboro.
The preliminary investigation reveals the two vehicles collided, nearly head-on.
