UPDATE: Murphysboro Woman Found Dead in Williamson County

Williamson County authorities say their investigation into a missing woman is now a death investigation.Twenty-two year old Jeannie Schuur was reported missing November 23rd. The Williamson County Sheriff's Office led a search for her, with no success.

Hunters found Schuur's body in an area of Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge November 26th. She was found on land, not in Crab Orchard Lake.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing woman.

At about 5 p.m. Monday, family members reported Jeannie Schuur as missing.

They reported that no one has spoken with Schuur since early Saturday morning, when she walked away from a friend's residence on Modesto Road, near the intersection of Route 13 and Spillway Road. A neighbor in the area did report seeing her walking eastbound on San Francisco road at about 7 a.m. that morning.

Schuur is 22 year-old white female, about 5-feet tall and weighing about 100 lbs. She has blue eyes and blond hair. Family members say Schuur was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie with white writing, white sweat-pants, red slip-on shoes, and carrying a red purse. She does not have her cell phone.
