U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) has earned an A+ rating in the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF)’s 2024 Congressional Report Card.
The NSSF, which represents the firearms industry, evaluated members of Congress based on their voting record, co-sponsorship of critical legislation, and actions affecting the firearms and ammunition industries.
The report card recognizes lawmakers who demonstrate strong leadership in safeguarding the Second Amendment and supporting the economic health of the firearms sector.
In response, Bost expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating, "I am honored to receive an A+ rating from the NSSF.
The Second Amendment is essential to protecting all other Constitutional freedoms, and I will continue to stand against efforts to restrict law-abiding Americans' gun rights."
Bost’s top-tier rating highlights his consistent opposition to legislation that he believes infringes on the rights of responsible gun owners.
His work in Congress, according to the NSSF, has been pivotal in protecting nearly 400,000 jobs tied to the firearms and ammunition industry.
As gun control remains a hotly debated issue across the country, Bost has committed to opposing what he calls “unconstitutional restrictions” and ensuring that Americans can exercise their right to bear arms without interference from federal or state laws.
