The Illinois Department of Transportation is inviting the public to showcase how transportation connects communities across the state through its second annual photo contest.
Original photos related to transportation—such as biking, walking, transit, highways, bridges, airports, or waterways—can be submitted through June 20 to DOT.PhotoContest@Illinois.gov. Cell phone photos are welcome, and amateur photographers are encouraged to participate.
Three finalists will be selected by IDOT and put to a public vote. The winning photo will be featured on IDOT’s Facebook banner and in a statewide announcement.
