The Carbondale Police Department is partnering with SIU Athletics this holiday season to collect new coats for children.
Coats will be gathered at men's and women's basketball games on November 8, 9, 11, and 13.
The donated coats will benefit local children in need through the Carbondale Police Department Community Christmas Store, which also provides shoes.
The goal is to help 150 children stay warm this winter. Donations can also be dropped off at the Carbondale Police Department or the Carbondale Civic Center until December 5, 2024.
The Carbondale Police Department and the SIU Athletics Department are proud to partner with our community to make the holidays better for those who are in need.
