The Carbondale Fire Department will host an Open House at Fire Station #2.
This is an opportunity for the community to tour the fire station, meet firefighters, and learn more about department services.
The Open House is part o National Fire Prevention Week, which runs from October 8-14.
The event will have live fire extinguisher and vehicle extrication demonstrations. There will also be activities for kids, including an appearance by the Fire Department's mascot Sparky.
The Open House takes place on October 14 at 401 North Glenview Dr. from 10 a.m. to noon.
