No injuries were reported after an apparent gunfight near the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau.

Cape Girardeau Police officers say at around 11:15 Wednesday morning, they responded to the 1100 block of North Sprigg Street after a report of approximately 12 gunshots fired in the area.
Officers learned two suspects had exchanged gunfire with each other on a public gas station parking lot. An observer saw one of the suspects leave the area in a vehicle, which officers located as it traveled south in the 800 block of Sprigg Street.

They apprehended 22-year-old Yamango Jiles of Cape Girardeau, who was taken into custody without incident. Officers also recovered a 10-millimeter Glock handgun from his waistband.

Jiles is being held for Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
