A Marion County man faces First Degree Murder charges related to a fatal crash earlier this month.

WJBD Radio previously reported the crash killed 66-year-old Nita Mobley of Salem.

The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation reports today (Wednesday) 21-year-old Justin Bullard of Iuka also is charged with one count of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence, one count of Reckless Homicide and one count of Aggravated Street Racing.

ISP also arrested 27-year-old Derrik Coomer of Salem for one count of Aggravated Reckless Driving.

On May 4, troopers responded to a crash at the intersection of US Route 50 and Hotze Road in Salem.

After an investigation, including reviewing hours of surveillance footage, State Police determined Bullard had been driving under the influence of alcohol and at excessive speeds while racing another car, driven by Coomer, just prior to the crash.
