A Belleville man is convicted in Washington County murder

A Washington County Judge has convicted a Belleville man of First Degree Murder.

The Illinois State Police reports 44-year-old Kevin Loucks conviction is tied to the murder of 44-year-old Montez Pearson.

Pearson's body was found on July 19 near Lunte Creek Road in Washington County.

Loucks was taken into custody on July 23 after a search warrant was executed at his residence in Belleville.

Two other men from Belleville, 57-year-old Milton Robinson, and 45-year-old Arrion Sanders, were also charged in the case.

Robinson and Sanders are scheduled to go to trial in January.
