The City of Mt. Vernon is developing a bicycle master plan to guide future improvements.
Residents can view the master plan during an open house Thursday. Based on feedback from the open house, the planning team will finalize the plan and select a project to apply for initial grant funding.
The Greater Egypt Regional Planning and Development Commission is facilitating the effort on behalf of Mt. Vernon and the City of Benton.
The plan is expected to be completed by late spring.
The open house is Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. at Mt. Vernon City Hall.
